Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to estimates, payments, scheduling and our workmanship warranty on every project.

Estimates
Every estimate we issue is itemised and valid for thirty days from the date it is sent. Prices are based on what was measured at the site visit and the scope agreed with you in writing.
An estimate given over the phone, before a site visit, is indicative only. Where opening up a wall, floor or ceiling reveals work that could not reasonably have been seen beforehand, we will price it and get your written approval before continuing.
Deposits and payment
Work is booked with an initial deposit, followed by progress payments tied to the milestones set out in your contract. Weekly invoices detail expenses against your deposit so you can see where the budget stands.
Allowances in your estimate are placeholders for selections you have not yet made. Once materials are ordered to your specification, the amounts covering them are non-refundable. Custom and special-order items cannot be returned.
Scheduling and access
We confirm a start date with you at the pre-construction meeting. Onsite working hours are generally 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will need to give us reasonable access to the property, along with power and water, throughout the work.
Schedule changes can occur because of weather, scope or design changes, material lead times or illness. Where a delay is outside our control we will tell you as soon as we know and agree a revised date with you.
Change orders
Any change to the agreed scope is handled as a written change order. We confirm the cost and any effect on the schedule before the work happens, and it only proceeds once you have approved it. Requests made after final sign-off are billed separately.
Workmanship warranty
Our workmanship warranty covers one year from the date of substantial completion. Manufacturer warranties on materials, fixtures and appliances are passed to you in full and are governed by the manufacturer own terms.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, normal wear, or work later altered by someone else. We reserve the right to correct deficiencies beyond the one-year period where they stem from neglectful workmanship.
Cancellation
You may cancel before we place any order and receive a refund less the cost of work already carried out. After orders are placed, non-refundable and special-order items are charged at cost.
Complaints
If something is not right, tell your project manager first, then write to info@dancompany.net. We acknowledge every complaint within 24 business hours and work with you on a clear plan to put it right.
